Amongst the gentry in the Knightly court of the Queen of Love, Sir Roland is considered a prize. Handsome beyond all others, brave and bold, yet aloof to the vagaries of court intrigue, he stands apart from the power plays of the other nobles. In war he is powerful and a rallying force for the knights and men-at-arms who fight along side him. Sir Roland may live to sire children to share his name or he may die in glorious honour on the field of war. Either way his name will live long amongst the Knightly Cities.

Kenett of Ban, an unremarkable knight from an unremarkable province. Though he has served the Queen for many years and is entering the declining years of his youth, he has reached maturity without great honour in war, politics or love. Perhaps his potential is simply waiting to be plucked from the hands of an enemy, placed their by the gods who have chosen him from amongst the great and noble to shine their holy light upon the world. Or perhaps his place is simply to die an unremarkable death on one unremarkable battle field or another.
